I strive to use minor interventions and small consequences that I can administer consistently and fairly without hesitation before things escalate or get emotional. I assume the best and narrate the behavior I desire. I am a heavy user of positive corrections when my expectations are not met--"Class, I need your eyes on me and pencils down."

I correct individually and privately to get 100% compliance.
