What are your ways in showing care to our common home which is the mother Earth while participating in outdoor recreational activities?

As stewards of our mother earth, we are held accountable to care for this earthly blessings. It has given us so many things in order for us to live. Food, water, shelter, medicine, natural cycles, air, natural resources, beauty of nature and art.

But because we always want to be convenient we neglect and forget the mother earth who always give and give even if it will disappear little by little. 

We have seen that the earth has been experiencing an increased amount of air,water,and land pollution, deforestation yo name a few. As a result, there has been increased of species extinction, biodiversity loss, drought, floods, climate change and many more.

So as we benefit from the mother earth, we have to be wise stewards over it and care for it for the future generation as well.

These are ways to care and protect our mother earth as well as enjoying and doing recreational activities.

First, when we like to go hiking, canoeing, going to the beach, we have to be mindful of ourselves. We will just take pictures of the beautiful nature and never take anything you find like picking out flowers or plant sample, birds, insects, seashells and other things.  Enjoy the nature and don't disturb anything. 

Second, we can organize a clean up drive for example when going to the beach before the activity we can Collect the trashes laying  on the beach ground and dispose properly. As we leave the trail never leave a trash. It is also good to bring environmental products such as reusable water bottle and containers so that it will be washable and to avoid the use of disposable products. Another one is volunteering or do an activity while enjoying such as plant a tree.

Third,  while we are in the place like campsite, beach resort and park, we have to conserve water usage. If we are going to wash the dishes we have to wash away from the shore or stream to avoid trash. 

Lastly, avoid big campfire and minimize cutting down firewood. We can also bring solar energy lamps.
