Greenhouse gases or Carbon and Sulfur Dioxide emissions from burning coals, manufacturing food, transportation  have been increasing day by day. These dangerous gases together with deforestation and changing vast lands all causes climate change.

We are already experiencing the effects of climate change. The greenhouse gases that caused greenhouse effect  warm the earth by trapping the heat in the atmosphere leading to change of weather patterns and disrupt the balance of nature. Because of these we have hotter temperature, frequent storms that caused floods and landslides, droughts, warming and melting of glaciers, lack of food production, more health risks, and poverty.

We don't want climate change to continue so all of us must act together to reduce the effect of the greenhouse effect. We can begin in our homes such as:

• turning off the lights and water when not in used

• Remove electrical  charge such as mobile phones and gadgets when charging is done

• avoid using aerosol sprays and spraynets,

• use electric cars and bicycles, walk or ride bicycles instead of taking vehicles when going to the market

• bring reusable bags instead to reduce the use of plastic,

• plant more trees

• volunteer to clean up drive in the community

• Limit and recycle waste

• Use energy saving and solar energy lamps ot light

Understanding the effect of each and every human activity is important. These small changes can also make a big difference. All of us can help reduce the amount of greenhouse gases by making climate friendly choices in our daily lives.
