Essay: A Hot Day In Summer

In the Philippines, summer is very hot. The heat is unbearable and at peak in the month of April. The morning and nights are comparatively better than afternoon.

One summer day, the heat was unbearable. We were all feeling uneasy. The people seemed to pray for rain. The hot wind was blowing. The fans were giving air. 

In the afternoon the heat was at its peak. I tried to sleep but in vain. My mother prepared some cold drinks for us. My sister and I enjoyed the cold drinks. 

My father came in the evening. I decided to go for a walk but came back home early due to excessive heat. 

Soon the clouds appeared in the sky. The cool breeze began to blow. It rained for about half an hour. People seemed to thank God.
