The Java platform is complex and requires specially trained individuals to provide design, maintenance, support and upgrades to keep it running smoothly on corporate websites. Common job titles in this industry are Java developers, Java application specialist, network manager, Java software engineer, or Java programmer.

Sales representatives are hard working people who work closely with customers to help them identify needs and introduce products or services that will meet those needs. Often, a major aspect of Sales is networking and lead generation to locate additional clients. Sales careers are very friendly to telecommuting since they can be accomplished through telephone and email contact.

Project Managers develop requirements, budgets, and schedules for their firm's information technology, development or production projects. They coordinate such projects from development through implementation, working with internal and external clients, vendors, consultants, and computer specialists.

Editors review, proofread and make changes to written work before it is published. Editors may also do some of their own writing or be asked to supervise other writers with planning the content for print publications, websites or technical materials. Many editors work for major publications, like newspapers and magazines, while others work independently in contract and freelance jobs.

Writers perform this function primarily on websites, community forums and blogs. Writers fall into two main categories-writers (authors) and technical writers. Most writers and editors have at least a basic familiarity with technology, such as personal computers and the Internet. Writing professionals are sometimes referred to as Copywriter, Content Manager, Editor, Blogger, Reporter, Columnist, and News Writer or Journalist.

Average pay for workers with at least a bachelor's degree and 5 to 8 years experience is $81,400.

This is one of the most flexible jobs because of the high percentage of workers that can telecommute and the high percentage of workers that said they have a flexible schedule.

Most Data Entry jobs include entering data into a computer system or into some type of a secure file system and may include other types of clerical activities. It is a general requirement that Data Entry workers be able to read and type. Data Entry jobs are very telecommuting friendly as they can be done remotely from a home computer.
