I choose the Physician Assistant career after an experience I had early on. In high school I had the opportunity to take a course called Health Science Internship, which provided me the chance to shadow various health care professionals including nurses, various doctors, and a physician assistant. The specific experience included shadowing a Surgical Physician Assistant at the local Surgery Center. That was my first time seeing a Physician Assist.
